Analiese Eicher

Eicher, a UW senior majoring in Political Science and
Integrated Liberal Studies, has proven her commitment to campus and student
issues throughout her four years on Madison's campus. As a freshman, Analiese
began her journey in campus activism while interning for Representative Tammy
Baldwin's successful reelection campaign. The relationships that Analiese made
during that internship led her to the Associated Students of Madison's
internship program, where she spent her semester working to bring attention to
issues of diversity on campus. Analiese became even more active on campus
through her involvement with the College Democrats, organizing Students for
Hillary during the presidential primary, serving as Campus Coordinator for
Students for Tammy Baldwin and working closely with Students for Barack Obama
all while remaining a full time student.
Being involved in the political process on the campus level showed Analiese
that the issues and concerns that engaged students are ones that can be
addressed at the local level. She is running for County Board because she
believes that the student voice in local government can help improve Dane
County and the campus community.
As Supervisor, Analiese will work to ensure that student interests and concerns
are represented on the County Board. A proven team player, she will work with
the county government to bring positive change to not only students, but all
Dane County residents.
Analiese understands the necessity of a comprehensive and effective health and
human services department, the benefits that it brings to the community, and
the importance of funding these programs. She also knows the value of the
natural resources in Dane County, and is committed to improving the quality of
our air and the safety of the water in our lakes. Furthermore, despite the
effect of the national recession on Dane County, Analiese will work to protect
the local economy and the jobs it provides residents.
