Dr. Huma Pierce

Dr. Huma Pierce is fiercely committed to guiding Oregonians towards health care equality for all.  Fluent in several languages including English, French, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi, Huma attended the University of Toronto for Biology with a Minor in Near/ Far Eastern Religion. As a Maritime Surface Warfare Officer with the Canadian Navy, Huma was the primary Boarding Party Translator & Officer for the multinational carrier based Surface Action Group PACMEF '97 (PACIFIC MIDDLE EAST FORCE).

After honing her leadership skills during her naval career, Pierce returned to her interest in family health and enrolled in Chiropractic College. She is now the owner of several flourishing woman-owned businesses in Portland and was recently appointed to the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Family continues to be the cornerstone of Huma's life and she is the proud mother of one son, takes care of her parents and is a devoted wife.
