London Breed

London Breed is the Executive Director of the African American Art & Culture Complex (AAACC) in San Francisco. Under London's leadership, the AAACC has become one of the most renowned and progressive institutions of African centered cultural expression in the Bay Area. Currently, she serves as a Commissioner for the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency and as a delegate to the California State Democratic Central Committee. London is a member of a host of political organizations including SFWPC, NWPC, NAACP, and the African American Democratic Club. Her political involvement also includes serving as staff for former San Francisco Mayor Willie L. Brown during both his administrations as Mayor and his re-election campaign. For her leadership and dedication to public service, London has received numerous awards including California State Senator Carole Migden's "Woman of the Year" Award in March 2006. London is a native San Franciscan and continues to live in the community she serves.
London graduated from the University
of California, Davis in 1997 with a BA in Political Science
- Public Service.
