Commissioner Kitty Jung was appointed to the Washoe County Commission by Governor Gibbons. As a Washoe County Commissioner, Kitty considers public safety to be her number one priority. She is committed to ensuring that law enforcement and other public safety agencies have access to the resources they need to serve and protect her community. She also believes that responsible and sustainable development is crucial in order to maintain and improve the quality of life in Washoe County. Particularly close to Commissioner Kitty's heart are both the Nevada Humane Society and Washoe County Regional Animal Services. As both a pet owner and a foster care parent for the Nevada Humane Society, Kitty believes that caring for community pets ensures a quality of life and dignity to all helpless in her community.

Kitty is currently running for re-election.
