Ellen Spiegel

Ellen Barre Spiegel is the first Democrat to represent Henderson's Assembly District 21 in a
generation. In addition, she is the first Democratic woman to ever
represent Assembly District 21!
In 2008, Ellen's opponent spent over $100,000
trying to win the race, while she had raised only $11,000. But with the help of
hundreds of supporters, including many independents and moderate Republicans,
her campaign was a success.
Ellen's political activities have included hosting the first
Planned Parenthood Choice Affair ever held in Nevada, co-founding and serving on the Board
of the Henderson Democratic Club, co-chairing Jewish Nevadans for Kerry and
numerous other activities. Ellen also has served as a Delegate to the Green
Valley Ranch HOA Board and has taken active roles in her community and
synagogue.
Ellen was one of ten people given the honor to testify in
support of the Nevada Domestic Partnership Act during the Assembly Judiciary
Committee in 2009.
Ellen is currently running for re-election in 2010 Nevada elections.
