Gloria Sturman

Gloria Sturman is a partner and a member of the Advocacy & Litigation Practice Group of Buckley King LPA. Her practice focuses on insurance defense, employment discrimination, civil rights, ADA, professional liability, personal injury defense, premises liability, construction defect, municipality defense, and healthcare.
Ms. Sturman has had 26 years of civil law practice experience and as served in as a Judge pro tem, a Short Trial Judge in the District Court and a Justice of the Peace pro tem. She has tried over 20 cases to verdict in state and federal courts on a variety of matters and has represented Clark County since 1992 in a variety of claims from employment to premises liability to professional negligence.
She has extensive experience representing defendants in mediations and arbitrations, including high dollar limit binding arbitration before three judge panels. In addition Ms. Sturman served as the arbitrator in scores of cases through the Court Annexed Mandatory Arbitration Program between 1997 and 2002. Ms. Sturman has also been selected by parties to serve as a private binding Arbitrator in a number of cases. Ms. Sturman has served as a Short Trial Judge pro tem since 2005, presiding over a number of jury and non jury trials. Ms. Sturman was appointed to serve as a Justice of the Peace pro tem by the Clark County Commission. In that capacity Ms. Sturman has presided over a number of non jury trials, and various other proceedings in civil and criminal cases. Additionally, she was President of the State Bar of Nevada and the Clark County Bar Association.
