Cindy Trigg

Cindy Olivas Trigg is the daughter of a Korean combat Veteran, wife of a Vietnam combat Veteran, mother of a college graduate who is entering the US Navy. She is a retired flight attendant and current President of the Douglas County School Board. At all points, she has proven that she can and will work with others to get results.
As President of the Douglas County School Board, Cindy Trigg has brought people together in order to find solutions to the challenges facing public schools. But her service to Douglas County didn’t start there. Cindy is the former High School coach and volunteered her time to the Middle School Drug Awareness Program. Cindy also sits on the Board of Directors of the Nevada Association of School Boards.
In addition to her public service, Cindy has also worked with a number of candidates like General Wes Clark for President, Jack Carter for U.S. Senate and Jill Derby for Congress. In her re-election campaign, Cindy earned more votes in Douglas County than the congressional candidate or President Obama.
As a candidate for Congress, she is focusing on job creation, Nevada alternative energy production that creates ‘green collar’ jobs, healthcare reform, improving public schools by scrapping No Child Left Behind, opposing bad trade deals like NAFTA and CAFTA, protecting Social Security and keeping our commitment to our Veterans.
